Remembering our nature
What if we are always in relationship?
The etymology of relationship is “to bear earth back to itself” — the thing is that we are already of the earth, all of us. We are nature itself. And yet, we do have these feelings that we are not a part of the whole. That we are not in relationship. That somehow we don’t belong. That somehow we were put here by accident. Or we don’t really have a place. Or we don’t know who our people are, how we fit in, or how we can be ourselves in a world that is really challenging and doesn’t really make us feel that we’re coming back home to ourself.
But today, just contemplate this with me — what if relationship is always here? What if we’re always a part of this greater whole? Of this earth is one place to start. Of this ecosystem of this world. Of our natural world.
What if there’s no way that we’re not a part of it. We’re here. Just like a bird, or a tree, or a stone. You wouldn’t say they’re out of place, or they don’t belong. They’re here. That’s all that’s required.
So maybe too, you’re here, and that’s all that’s required.
But if you feel like that is not enough, that makes sense too. Because our society, our families, and all the people in our lives who may have had good intentions have sent us messages about not being enough. That just being here and belonging, like any other part of nature, has not been enough.
So in a sense, it takes an act of courage to claim your own bit of earth, your own body, your own soul, your own self back to the earth. To reclaim that relationship, to weave back yourself, your body, your mind, your heart, into the fabric of this home. Of this earth. Our intrinsic relationship that’s always there.

I’ll be posting more videos and updates here on the Being to Being podcast and project soon, thank you all who have subscribed or donated to the project and supported in other ways -- again here's the post outlining the vision and ways to connect:
Being to Being Project (call for support and collaborators!)
Today I’m sharing a vision I have for the Being to Being project—a vision of us as a collective, as a greater community, coming together being to being. On the same ground of our being, the same ground of our humanity. Being with each other. Being witness to each other. Not needing to do anything for each other, but simply being with each other. Reclaim…
